Bangor - This wintery weather that we've been experiencing has taken its toll on northern Maine power lines. Since Tuesday evening, Bangor Hydro has been recieving notifications of sparatic power outages in northern Penobscot and Piscataquis counties. At this time 1268 outages have been caused by ice and snow building up on tree limbs and power lines. And that's not the only thing that can cause outages this time of year. Hydro officials say that car accidents can sometimes contribute as well. They are urging people not to touch or move downed power lines or tree limbs if found in roads, as those situations can oftentimes be dangerous.
